SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) below March average temperature in Naypyitaw, (3°C) to (4°C) below March average temperatures in Kachin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States, (5°C) to (6°C) below March average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State and (8°C) below March average temperature in Chin State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (38°C) each in Ngathaichaung, Hpa-an and Myawaddy. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.51) inch in Myitkyina, (0.08) inch in Putao and (0.04) inch in Machanbaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th March 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
