SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours,  rain have been fairly widespread in Kachin State, isolated in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions and Chin State, weather has been partly cloudy  in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (4°C) below March average temperature in Kachin State, (2°C) below March average temperatures in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Chin State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) in Aunglan, (39°C) each in Minbu, Magway, Pyay and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Putao and Manchanbaw (0.71)inch each and Hkamti (0.08)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th MARCH, 2018: Rain will be scattered in Kachin State, isolated in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan, Chin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5)feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
