SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and scattered in Chin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan, Rakhine, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below February average temperatures in Yangon Region and Eastern Shan, Chin States and (2°C) above February average temperatures in Sagaing Region and Kachin and (Northern and Southern) Shan States, (3°C) above February average temperature in Magway Region and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (6°C) in Mongyang and (8°C) each in Kyaukmae, Namsam(Southern Shan), Heho and Tiddim. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.43) inch in Homalin, (0.16) inch in Machanbaw, (0.12) inch each in Shwegu and Tamu and (0.08) inch in Monyin.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th February 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region and Northern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States.
