SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Taninthayi Region, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (4°C) above March average temperatures in Kayin and Mon States, (2°C) above March average temperatures in Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (41°C) in Chauk, (40°C) each in Shwekyin, Phyu, Bawlakhae, Hpa-an, Kawkareik and Theinzayet.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th MARCH, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Taninthayi Region, Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (2 - 4) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
