SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Southern Shan State and isolated in Mandalay, Yangon Regions and Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above December average temperatures in Yangon Region and Chin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Mon, Kayah States, (5°C) to (6°C) above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Kayin States and about December average temperature in Taninthayi Region. The significant night temperatures were (5°C) in Hakha, (8°C) in Tiddim, (9°C) in Putao and (10°C) in Tongzan. The noteworthy amount of rainfalls recorded were (0.43) inch in Loilin, (0.35) inch in Bhamo, (0.28) inch in Mongyang and (0.08) inch each in Namsam(Southern Shan), Kengtung and Kyaukse.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th December 2023: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Mandalay Region and Shan State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin States.
