BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over Southeast Bay and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards and intensified into a depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about (470) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Hainggyigyi, (500) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Pathein, (510) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Thandwe(Myanmar), (335) Nautical miles South of Paradip, (420) Nautical miles South of Digha (India), (490) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh). Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 22nd October 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin States, isolated in Naypyitaw, Bago, Region and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather has been partly cloudy the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (3-6) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
