BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Tropical Storm “Haikui” over the South China Sea has weaken into a Tropical Depression has moved Westwards and crossing into the Zhejiang, China.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 05th September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and (Northern and Eastern)Shan States, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States, fairly widespread in Southern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9-12) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi and (6-8) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
