SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Rakhine, Mon States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.09) inches in Ye, (3.35) inches in Gwa, (2.88) inches in Hkamti, (2.64) inches in Manaung, (2.60) inches each in Thandwe and Paing Kyone, (2.20) inches in Taunggu, (2.09) inches in Labutta, (2.05) inches in Kyone Pyaw, (2.04) inches in Rambree and (2.00) inches each in Mawlaik, Maungdaw and Ngaputaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th August, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and (Northern and Southern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at time off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
