BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 05th July, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Chin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35) mph. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (8-10) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
