SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region and Northern Shan State, scattered in Mandalay Region and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Eastern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Kachin, Kayin States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (5.11) inches in Kyaukpyu, (4.60) inches in Paing Kyone, (3.50) inches in Ngathaichaung, (3.31) inches in Mogaung, (3.11) inches in Pauktaw, (2.64) inches each in Sittwe and Kyon Pyaw, (2.25) inches each in Naypyitaw(Otarathiri) and Manaung, (2.03) inches in Pantanaw, (2.00) inches in Pon Na Gyun and (1.97) inches in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri).
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th June, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30 - 35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (5-7) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak to moderate monsoon.
