BAY INFERENCE:Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (15:30)hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm “Mawar” over Philippines Sea has moved North-Northeastwards. It is centered at about (365) nautical miles East-Northeast of Taiwan. It is likely forecast to move North-Northeastwards.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 02ndJune, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Bago Region and Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regionsand Eastern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Rakhine State.Degree of certainty is (100%). THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus cloudsaredeveloping over the whole country. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35) mph. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
