30-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “FENGAL” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Westwards. It is centered at about 765 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 45 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai and 40 Nautical miles East-Northeast of Puducherry (India). The centre pressure of Cyclonic Storm is 994 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 50 miles per hour. Weather is cloudy over the Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the Westcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs MST today, the Typhoon “Mawar” over Philippines Sea has moved Northwards and weaken into a Severe Tropical Storm “Mawar”. It is centered at about (265) nautical miles East-Northeast of Taiwan. It is likely forecast continue to move North-Northeastwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st June, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Chin States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Chin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing over the Chin and Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35)mph. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of thundery activities in the Central Myanmar areas.
