SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain have been isolated in Taninthayi Region and weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) below January average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States, (2°C) below January average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Kachin, Eastern Shan and Kayin States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-2°C) in Namsam, (0°C) in Heho, (1°C) each in Thipaw and Pinlaung, (2°C) in Mongyang, (3°C) each in Loilin and Hakha.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31st JANUARY, 2018: Light rain will be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin, Shan and Chin States.
