SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Bago, Yangon Regions and Rakhine State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin State and widespread in Kachin, Southern Shan, Mon States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and Rakhine, Mon States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayin, Mon States, (2°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and  Northern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States and about May average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) in Chauk and (41°C) each in Minbu and Magway. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.84) inches in Gwa, (3.43) inches in Kyeikkhame, (1.60) inches in Amarapura, (1.50) inches in Kawkareik, (1.46) inches in Paung, (1.20) inches in Myittha, (1.18) inches in Tagaung, (1.14) inches in Mudon and (1.02) inches in Katha.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th May, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Kachin, Chin States, scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing over the Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of thundery activities in Deltaic areas.
