SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Kachin State, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, (Northern and Eastern)Shan and Kayah States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperature in Northern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Kayah and Mon States, (2°C) above January average temperatures in Bago, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (2°C) each in Namsam, Heho & Hakha, (4°C) each in Thipaw, Mongyang, Tiddim and Mogoke, (6°C) each in Lashio, Kyaukmae, Loilin, Falam and Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Launglon (0.35)inch, Dawei (0.23)inch and Myeik (0.16)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th JANUARY, 2018: Rain will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Kachin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of continuation of isolated rain in Taninthayi Region.
