SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Kachin State, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperatures in Shan and Kayah States, (2°C) above January average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Namsam, (1°C) each in Pinlaung and Heho, (3°C) in Hakha, (4°C) in Loilin and (5°C) each in Thipaw, Nyaungshwe and Mongyang. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was Kawthaung (0.15)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and West central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th JANUARY, 2018: Rain will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Upper Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan and Chin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
