BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea still persists. It is likely intensify into a Depression around (9.5.2023) and into a Cyclonic Storm over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea around (10.5.2023). The Cyclonic Storm is likely to move North-Northwestwards and reach to Eastcentral Bay of Bengal around (11.5.2023) and then recurve North- Northeastwards and move to Bangladesh-Myanmar Coasts. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 09th May, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in (Southern and Eastern) Shan State, fairly widespread in Northern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
The Condition of Cumulonimbus Cloud: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing over the Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Shan , Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5 - 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
