SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States, fairly widespread in Mon State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayah, Kayin States and isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin State with regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States, (2°C) above May average temperatures in Yangon Region and Eastern Shan State and (2°C) below May average temperatures in Mandalay Region and Northern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) below May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about normal average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (45°C) in Chauk and (42°C) in Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.69) inches in Paung, (3.74) inches in Chaungsone, (1.74) inches in Loikaw, (1.50) inches in Myeik, (1.06) inches in Thaton and (0.98) inch in Meiktila.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 04th May, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
The Condition of Cumulonimbus Cloud: The Cumulonimbus clouds are starting over the Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States.
