SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain has been scattered in Taninthayi Region, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (4°C) below January average temperature in Kayah State and (2°C) below January average temperature in Yangon Region and (2°C) above January average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-2°C) in Hakha, (0°C) in Pinlaung, (2°C) in Heho, (3°C) in Mogoke, (4°C) in Namsam and (5°C) each in Thipaw, Loilin, Pyinoolwin and Loikaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Myeik (0.11)inch and Kawthaung (0.08)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd JANUARY, 2018: Rain will be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
