BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30) hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 8th JANUARY, 2018: Rain will be fairly widespread in (Eastern and Southern) Shan and Kayah States, scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States.
