BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and it is centered at about (670) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island, (775) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (135) Nautical miles East of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and (255) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Karaikal(India).Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and over the West central Bay of Bengaland partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 01stFebruary, 2023: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (60%).Weather will be partly cloudy in Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA:Strong winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in strong winds may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
