SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been generally fair in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Kayah States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperatures in Yangon Region and Eastern Shan, Chin States and (2°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayah, Mon States, (3°C) above January average temperature in Southern Shan State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-1°C) in Hakha, (2°C) in Mongyang, (5°C) each in Putao, Kyaukmae, Namsam and Tiddim and (6°C) each in Heho, Pyinoolwin and Mogoke.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th January, 2023: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
