SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been generally fair in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above December average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Mon States, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan State and (5°C) above December average temperature in Naypyitaw and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-1°C) in Hakha, (4°C) in Tiddim and (6°C) each in Kyaukmae, Namsam, Heho‌ and Pyinoolwin.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean. It is intensified into a Depression now lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal and centered at about (580) Nautical miles Southwest of Coco –Island, (690) Nautical miles Southwest of Hainggyigyun(Myanmar), (225) Nautical miles East-Northeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka), (350) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Nagappattinam and (400) Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23th December, 2022: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at time off and along Myanmar Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
