SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been scattered in Taninthayi Region and Kayin State, isolated light rain in Yangon Region and Mon State, weather has been generally fair in Magway Region, Chin and Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Mandalay and Bago Regions, Shan, Rakhine and Mon States, (2)°C above December average temperatures in Lower Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Kayah and Kayin States and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (5°C) in Putao, and (6°C) in Namsam. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was Myawaddy (0.39) inch.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Malay peninsula become unimportant. Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few clouds elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th DECEMBER, 2017: Rain will be scattered in Shan(East and South) and Kayah States, isolated in Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%).Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 7) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan State.
