SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in the wholecountry with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago Region and Northern Shan, Kayin, Mon States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (7.48) inches in Monyin, (5.00) inches in Lashio, (4.92) inches in Minbya, (4.65) inches in Mogaung, (4.61) inches in Thabeikkyin, (4.49) inches in Taunggu(Avia), (3.86) inches in Ann, (3.54) inches in Theinzayet, (3.27) inches in Thandwe, (3.23)inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, (3.11) inches in Shwegu, (3.07) inches in Pauk, (2.75) inches in Kyaukpyu, (2.36) inches in Hkamti and (2.32) inches in Tatkon.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions andKayah, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Weak monsoon.
