SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions and Chin State, fairly widespread in Kachin, Southern Shan and Rakhine States, scattered in Magway Region and Northern Shan State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Mon State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (7°C) to (8°C) above December average temperature in (Eastern & Southern)Shan and Kayah States, (5°C) to (6°C) above December average temperatures in Mandalay Region, Northern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Sagaing, Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Mon States, (2°C) above December average temperature in Kayin State and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (7°C) in Putao and (10°C) each in Hakha and Tongzan. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Matupi (0.87)inch, Tamu (0.59)inch, Kyaukphyu and Myauk U (0.51)inch each, Tongzan (0.39)inch and Ann and Paung (0.35)inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh Coasts has moved near Bangladesh Coast. Weather is generally fair over the Andaman Sea and West Central Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th DECEMBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Southern Shan and Chin States, scattered in Magway Region and Kachin and Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 7)feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
