SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Ayeyarwady Region, Southern Shan and Kayah States, isolated in Upper Sagaing and Yangon Regions and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below December average temperature in Kachin State, (5°C) above December average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah and Mon States, (2°C) above December average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan and Kayin States and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (6°C) in Putao, (9°C) each in Machanbaw, Hakha and Tongzan. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Coco Island (0.59)inch and Labutta (0.16)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over the Central Bay of Bengal has  moved North-Northwestwards and reached West Central Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about (336) miles East-Southeast of Machilipatnam, (272)miles South-Southeast of Gopalpur (India) and forecast to move North- Northwest wards. Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th DECEMBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Sagaing Region, Shan and Chin States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway,  Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface winds speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (6-9)feet in Deltaic,  off and along Rakhine Coasts, (4-7)feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Sagaing Region and Chin State and scattered  in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Yangon and Ayeyarwady  Regions, Shan and Rakhine States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 9th DECEMBER, 2017: Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainly is (80%).

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 9th DECEMBER, 2017: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainly is (60%).

FORECAST FOR MANDALAY AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 9th DECEMBER, 2017: Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainly is (80%).

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Weather will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Yangon Regions.
