SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours,rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw,fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Eastern)ShanState and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, MagwayRegions and Kachin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were(5.04) inchesinKyeikkhame, (3.15) inches inYe, (3.03) inches inPutao, (2.95) inches in Bogale, (2.64) inches inBelin,(2.56) inches each in Yangon(Botahtaung), Khayan and Thaton, (2.36) inches in Myeik, (2.09) inches in Yeu, (1.92) inches eachin Yangon(Mayangon) and Launglonand (1.86) inches in Htilin.

BAY INFERENCE:Monsoon is strongto vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5thAugust, 2022:Rain or thundershowers will bescattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and KayahState,fairly widespreadinUpper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan, Chin States andwidespreadin the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) mph. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet in off and along Myanmar Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Continuations of increase of rain in Bago,Yangon, AyeyarwadyRegions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
