SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw and Yangon Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Kayah, Kayin States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Eastern Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (11.73) inches in Madaya, (9.60) inches in Pyinoolwin, (2.76) inches in Belin, (2.05) inches in Mogoke, (1.85) inches each in Mandalay(Aungmyaythazan) and Paung, (1.65) inches in Shwegu, (1.57) inches in Moemate, (1.38) inches in Chaungsone, (1.30) inches each in Lashio and Patheingyi and (1.07) inches in Ye.

BAY INFERENCE Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw and Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago Regions and Kachin, Chin, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
