SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region and Northern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region, Rakhine and Mon States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (5.12) inches in Launglon, (4.17) inches in Ye, (3.03) inches in Gwa, (2.48) inches in Paung, (2.27) inches in Dawei, (2.20) inches in Bhamo, (2.00) inches in Hkamti, (1.73) inches in Mogaung, (1.69) inches each in Shwegu and Mawlamyine, (1.65)inches in Shan- Ywar-Thit and (1.62)inches in Putao.
BAY INFERENCE Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st July, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Northen Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Increase of rain in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
