SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Napyitaw, Mandalay Region and isolated heavyfalls in Magway Region and Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.11) inches in Thaton, (2.76) inches in Mudon, (2.60) inches each in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) and Htilin, (2.17) inches in Bago, (2.09) inches in Paung, (1.84) inches each in Kyaukpyu and Chaungsone, (1.77) inches each in Meiktila and Shan-Ywar-Thit, (1.70) inches in Mawlamyine, (1.57) inches in Putao and (1.54) inches in Hlaingtat.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th July, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay, Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Magway Region and Eastern Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (7-10) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
