SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw and Kayah State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (7.09) inches in Madaya, (5.78) inches in Katha, (4.64) inches in Myeik, (4.17) inches in Madauk, (3.98) inches in Mudon, (3.82) inches in Tagaung, (3.66) inches in Shwekyin, (3.62) inches in Paung, (3.54) inches in Kyaukmae, (3.23) inches in Mawlamyine, (3.19) inches in Launglon, (2.91) inches in Chaungsone,  (2.84) inches in Kawkareik, (2.64) inches each in Wa Ke Ma and Kyeikkhame and (2.52) inches in Kyeikmayaw.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th July, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Ocassional squall with rough seas will be experienced in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) mph. Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast . Wave height will be about (9-13) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (7-10) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
