SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Taninthayi Regions, scattered in Mandalay, Yangon Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago Regions and Easthern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Kachin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.57) inches in Chi Pwi, (2.84) inches in Hkamti, (2.25) inches in Thaton, (1.93) inches in Belin, (1.89) inches in Hlaingbwe, (1.77) inches in Mudon, (1.57) inches each in Hpa-an and Shan-Ywar-Thit, (1.50) inches in Gwa, (1.46) inches each in Myitkyina and Ann, (1.41) inches in Rathedaung and (1.36) inches in Pon Na Gyun.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th June, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon Regions and Eastern Shan, Kayah, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Rakhine States. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
