SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Magway, TaninthayiRegions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above May average temperature in Mon State, (2°C) below May average temperatures in Rakhine and KayahStates, (3°C) to (4°C) below May average temperatures in Naypyitaw,Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (South and East) Shan, Chin States, (6°C) to (7°C) below May average temperatures in Magway Region and Northern ShanState and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (37°C) each in ZaungTu, Shwekyin, Ye and Belin. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.86) inchesin Kyaukpyu, (3.50) inches in Hpa-an, (3.19) inches each in Mawlaik and Paung, (2.83) inches each in Pyawbwe and Belin, (2.64) inches in Loilin, (2.52) inches in Coco-Island, (2.44) inches in Myawaddy, (2.28) inches in Monywa(Kyemone) and (1.97) inches each in Kyaukmae and Hkamti.

BAY INFERENCEAccording to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “Asani” over West Central Bay has moved  West-Northwestwards and centered at about (135) Nautical miles Southeast of Kakinada, (155) Nautical miles South of Vishakhapatnam, (260) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Gopalpur, (310) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Puri (India), (575) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Coco-Island and (630) Nautical miles West of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar).Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th May, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Magway, BagoRegions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, RakhineStates.Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Occasionally squall with rough seas will bein Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph. Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at timesin Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (6-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Thundery activities in the Southern Myanmar areas.
