SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Ayeyarwady Region and RakhineState, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon Regions and Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Kachin, Northern Shan,Chin, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw. Day temperatures were (3°C) above May average temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region and Kayin, Mon States and (2°C) above May average temperatures in Chin, Rakhine State and (2°C) below May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions,(3°C) to (4°C) below May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) in Magway, (42°C) in Bawlakhae and (41°C) inHpasaung. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.92) inches in Myeik, (2.56) inches in Naypyitaw(Pobbathiri), (2.20)inches in Chaungsone, (1.50) inches in PaingKyone, (1.26) inches in Paung, (1.21) inches in Bago and (1.10) inches in Hlaingbwe.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea, partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 03rd May, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Kachin, Shan, Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA:  Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin States.
