SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and (Northern and Eastern) Shan and Kayah States, Fairly widespread in Northern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Rakhine State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Mon States with isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above November average temperatures in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions , Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States and (5°C) above November average temperatures in Mandalay Region, Southern Shan and Kayah States and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperature were (12°C) each in Putao, Hakha, Tiddim and Tongzan. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Theinzayet (2.32) inches, Pinlaung (2.17)inches, Zayarthiri (2.08)inches, Pyinoolwin (1.65) inches, Kyaukpyu (1.38) inches, Labutta (1.26)inches, Mingaladon and Myaungmya (1.22)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved over the Southeast Bay and adjoining East Central Bay of Bengal still persists. Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th NOVEMBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions and isolated in Northern Shan, Mon and Kayin States. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface winds speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 - 8)feet in Myanmar coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of nigh temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Shan and Chin States.
