SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past
(24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Taninthayi Region,
scattered in Bago Region and Southern Shan State and isolated in Magway,
Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Mon State and weather has been generally fair
in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Eastern Shan State and partly cloudy in the
remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above November
average temperatures in Kachin and Kayin States and (3°C) to (4°C) above
November average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Bago
Regions, Shan (East and South), Rakhine,Kayah and Mon States and about
November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The
significant night temperatures were (5°C) in Hakha and (9°C) in Tongzan.
The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Coco Island (0.75)inch,
Dawei (0.47)inch, Myeik (0.43)inch and Hainggyigyun ( 0.39) inch.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the
low pressure area is likely to develop over the North Andaman Sea during next
(24)hours. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South
Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22ndNOVEMBER, 2017: Rain
or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread
in Kayin and Mon States and scattered in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady
Regions, Southern Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States. Degree of certainly is
(80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave
height will be about (4 - 6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or
thundershowers in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Southern Shan
State.
