SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin, Eastern Shan States, scattered in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan State and isolated in Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Kayin States. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (4°C) below April average temperature in Eastern Shan State and (2°C) above April average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, (3°C) above April average temperature in Chin State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) in Gangaw and (41°C) each in Bawlakhae and Hpasaung. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.01) inches in Kengtung, (0.94) inch each in Myitkyina and PaingKyone, (0.79) inch in Putao, (0.71) inch in Kawthaung and (0.63) inch in Machanbaw.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 03rdApril, 2022: Weather will be partly cloudy in Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State. Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin, Eastern Shan States, scattered in Upper Sagaing, TaninthayiRegions and (North and South) Shan, Kayah, Kayin States and  isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA:  Strong easterly winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in strong easterly winds may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-7) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan States.
