SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Mandalay Region and Chin State and isolated in Northern Shan, Rakhine and Mon States. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region and Kayah, KayinStatesand partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (7°C) below March average temperature in Kachin State and (2°C) above March average temperatures in Northern Shan and Kayah States and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (41°C) each in Gangaw, Bawlakhae and Hpasaung, (40°C) in Mingin and (39°C) each in Kalewa, Pyay and Taunggu.The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (0.75) inch in Tiddim, (0.63) inch in Bhamo, (0.51) inch in Katha, (0.47) inch in Homalin and (0.39) inch Putao.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and a few clouds over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th March, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper SagaingRegionand Kachin, Chin States and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, TaninthayiRegions and Shan, Rakhine, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
