SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin and Southren Shan States, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State,scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and MandalayRegions and isolated in Taninthayi Region and Northern Shan, Rakhine States. Weather has been generally fair in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.Night temperatures were (3°C) below February average temperatures in Yangon Region and Kachin, Chin States, (2°C) below February average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions and (2°C) above February average temperature in Northern Shan State, (5°C) above February average temperature in Eastern Shan State and about February average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (5°C) in Tiddim, (6°C) each in Putao, Tongzan and Pyinoolwin and (7°C) each in Loilin and Falam.The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.90) inch in Kawthaung, (0.24) inch each in Machanbaw, Kengtung and Homalin, (0.20) inch each in Bhamo and Muse, (0.16) inch in Shwegu and (0.12) inch each in Putao and Myitkyina.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd February, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan States andisolated in Upper Sagaing Region and (Northern and Southern) Shan State. Degree of certainty is (80%).Weather will be partly cloudy in Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Myanmar areas.
