SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan State and isolated in Mandalay Region and Rakhine, Kayin States. Weather has been generally fair in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.Night temperatures were (3°C) below February average temperature in Yangon Region, (2°C) below February average temperatures in Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin State and (2°C) above February average temperature in Lower Sagaing Region, (3°C) above February average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Eastern Shan State and about February average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (5°C) in Hakha, (6°C) each in Kyaukmae, Tongzanand Pyinoolwin, (7°C) each in Namsam and Loilin and (8°C) each in Thipaw, Naungcho, Mongyang and Tiddim.The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.64) inch in Kawthaung, (0.23) inch in Putao, (0.20) inch each in Paletwa and Hlaingbwe, (0.16) inch in Hkamti, (0.12) inch in Matupi and (0.08) inch in Maungdaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd February, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago Regions and Rakhine, Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Shan State.
