SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain have been isolated in Taninthayi Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in Kachin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) below February average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States and (2°C) below February average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan State and about February average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-3°C) in Hakha, (0°C) each in Namsam and Heho, (2°C) each in Loilin and Mongyang, (3°C) each in Kyaukmae, Pinlaung, Pyinoolwin and Mogoke and (4°C) each in Putao, Lashio and Nyaungshwe.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay, a few cloud over the Center Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th February, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Bago Region and Kachin, Kayah States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region, Scattered in Kayin, Mon States and isolated in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah States.
