SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain have been isolated in Taninthayi Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kachin State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below January average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (2°C) below January average temperature in Kayah State and (2°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Kayin, Mon States and about January average temperaturesin the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-1°C) in Hakha, (1°C) in Namsam, (2°C) in Heho, (3°C) in Mongyang, (4°C) each in Loilin, Kengtung and Mogoke and (5°C) each in Kyaukmae,Pinlaung and Pyinoolwin.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and generally fair over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 09th January, 2022: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing,Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain in Kachin State.
