SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain has been isolated in Mandalay and Yangon Regions. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw,Lower Sagaing, Bago Regions and Kayin, Mon States and partly cloudy inthe remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below December average temperature inTaninthatyi Region, (3°C) above December average temperature in Naypyitaw and about December average temperaturesin the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (4°C) in Heho, (5°C) each in Putao, Namsam and Pyinoolwin and (6°C) each in Kyaukmae, Pinlaung, Tiddim, Mingin and Mogoke. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was (0.08) inch in Coco Island.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over South Andaman Sea off north Sumatra coast now lies over South Andaman Sea and adjoining Malacca Strait still persists. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over theSouth Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal and a few cloudover the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd December, 2021: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Yangon, TaninthayiRegions. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy inUpper Sagaing, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
