SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) below December average temperatures in Northern Shan, Kayah States and (2°C) below December average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Yangon Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Rakhine States, (2°C) above December average temperature in Kayin State and about December average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-3°C) in Hakha, (3°C) in Heho, (4°C) each in Kyaukmae and Namsam, (5°C) in Loilin and (6°C) each in Lashio, Tiddim, Matupi, Mingin, Pyinoolwin and Mogoke.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean still persists. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th December, 2021: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 -7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayah States.
