SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Southwest monsoon has been withdrawn from the whole country. Weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and (Northern and Eastern) Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Southern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Rakhine State, scattered in Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Mon States andisolated in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.94) inches in Zaung Tu, (1.53) inches in Maungdaw, (1.22) inches in Taungkok, (1.14) inches in Hpasaung and (0.79) inch in Matupi.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th October, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4– 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
