BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Central Bay and adjoining South Bay of Bengal now lies over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is forecast to further intensify into a Depression during next (12)hrs. Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 18th OCTOBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowerswill be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw,Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State and widespread in Bago,Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6-10)feetin off and along Myanmar Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Rakhine Coastal areas.
