SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Chin States, scattered in Mandalay Region and Southern Shan, Kayin States, fairly widespread in Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and isolated heavyfalls in Magway Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (7.05) inches in Dawei, (6.02) inches in Launglon, (2.99) inches in Hpa-an(Agro), (2.87) inches in Kawthaung, (2.49) inches in Khayan, (2.40) inches in Saw, (2.13) inches in Zaung Tu, (1.81) inches in Myeik and (1.61) inches in Pyay.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal(off North Andhra Pradesh- South Odisha Coasts) still persists. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th October, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 -9)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State.
