BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at (06:00)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Central Bay of Bengal still persists. It may further intensify into a Depression during next (12)hrs.Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 17th OCTOBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Magway Region, Kachin and Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions and Rakhine State and widespread in Mandalay, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan (East and South), Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay,Magway,Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6-9)feet in off and along Myanmar Coast.
