BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (06:30) hrs MST today, the Topical strom “LIONROCK” over the Gulf of Tokin and is centered at about (145)miles East- Southeast of Hanoi and (185)miles Northeast of Vinh (Vietnam). It is forecast to move westwards and cross the Upper Vietnam coasts on 11th October.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 10th October, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30 - 35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 – 9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
